Purpose: to compare different grape varieties under irrigation and on rain-fed (non-irrigated) lands, as well as to identify factors affecting the yield and quality of the final product.

Discussion. Analysis of factors influencing the table grapes productivity, with an emphasis on the choice of cultivation technologies on irrigated and rain-fed lands. The results of long-term observations of the yield and quality of table grape varieties are presented: the weight of bunches and berries, sugar content and titratable acids. The discussion of various varieties and their characteristics suggests that there is a significant variation in productivity indicators, which is due to many factors, including varietal characteristics, agricultural practices, and climatic conditions. The lack of a unified methodology and comparable conditions makes it difficult to assess unambiguously the impact of irrigation on grape productivity is noted.

Conclusions. It should be noted, that the need to develop rational regimes of drip irrigation and mineral nutrition of grapes in certain soil and climatic conditions is an urgent issue, since high-quality research can significantly improve the understanding of the relationship between agricultural practices and yield.
