CURRENT STATUS AND MAIN TASKS FOR UPDATING REGULATORY PROVISIONS IN THE FIELD OF DESIGNING DRAINAGE ON IRRIGATED LANDS
- The role of land reclamation and water management in ensuring the sustainable development of agriculture
Purpose: to evaluate the structure and functionality of a website by testing it in land reclamation operating organizations (FSBI) and subsequent analyzing the comments and suggestions received, contained in official reviews and survey forms.
Materials and methods. The object of the study was the structure and functionality of a website developed at Russian Scientific Research Institute of Land Improvement Problems for collecting information on hydraulic reclamation (water management) systems (HMS) and hydraulic structures (HS), carried out within the framework of state monitoring of water bodies and the state water register (SMWR and SWR). The research materials are completed survey forms received from the RUO and official reviews generated based on the results of working on the website.
Results and discussion. According to the data received from the RUO, more than 85 % of respondents positively assessed the menu structure and content organization on the Site. Overall, 72 % of respondents reported no particular difficulties getting started with the Website; 64 % were fully satisfied with the implemented capabilities for working with the tables posted on the Website containing information on the VES and GTS, while 36 % would like to expand the capabilities for working with data. A relatively high percentage (57 %) of respondents required clarification on certain data entry fields and management functionality.
Conclusions. During the course of the work performed, a set of organizational and technical measures was implemented to test the Website by contractors at the FSBI. During the testing process, some technical errors which were promptly corrected by the Website developer were identified. Based on the results of testing and subsequent analysis of feedback received from the FSBI, taking into account a number of constructive comments and suggestions, the work on making changes in the basic version of the Website is planned in 2026. Before collecting data on the quantitative and qualitative indicators of water management systems and hydraulic structures for 2025, a training webinar on using the Website is planned for the FSBI employees responsible for this work.
