CURRENT STATUS AND MAIN TASKS FOR UPDATING REGULATORY PROVISIONS IN THE FIELD OF DESIGNING DRAINAGE ON IRRIGATED LANDS
- The role of land reclamation and water management in ensuring the sustainable development of agriculture
Purpose: to analyze the reclamation state of irrigated lands in Krasnoarmeysky District of Krasnodar Territory, to identify problems, the solution of which will contribute to increasing the efficiency of agricultural land use and stable functioning of the agro-industrial complex.
Materials and methods. Annual technical reports of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Kubanmeliovodkhoz Administration”, methods of monitoring the reclamation condition of irrigated lands, regulatory and technical documentation, laboratory tests of water and soil in accordance with regulatory and technical documentation were used.
Results. The conducted research revealed that Krasnoarmeysky District is the largest municipality in Krasnodar Territory, where rice is grown with an irrigated fund of 84.3 thousand hectares, of which rice irrigation systems occupy 81.1 thousand hectares, which requires monitoring their reclamation condition on an ongoing basis. It was found that in Krasnoarmeysky District, 57,391 hectares (68 %) are in good reclamation condition, 19,898 hectares (24 %) are in satisfactory condition, and 7,065 hectares (8 %) are in unsatisfactory condition. An increase of 276 hectares in unsatisfactory reclamation condition was noted, requiring measures aimed at improving the hydrological and reclamation situation on the reclaimed lands in Krasnoarmeysky District. At the same time, a decrease in soil salinity of 48 hectares was observed, which was ensured by chemical reclamation measures.
Conclusions. On the reclaimed lands in Krasnoarmeysky District of Krasnodar Territory, chemical and biological reclamation techniques to reduce soil salinity and improve their physicochemical properties, as well as agronomic reclamation techniques to increase the productive potential of land resources in rice irrigation systems are recommended.
