Ways of Increasing the Efficiency of Irrigated Agriculture

Annotation

Purpose: to analyze the efficiency of irrigated land use in Kalininsky District Krasnodar Territory, to consider the existing measures aimed at improving their use. 

Discussion. The efficiency of agricultural production primarily depends on land resources. Irrigation, as an important element of agronomic practice, not only increases the productivity of agricultural crops, but also plays a significant role in ensuring food security. In the current conditions of climate change and growing population, it is necessary to optimize the use of water resources by applying innovative technologies and management methods. Irrigated lands, in which significant financial and material resources are invested, are one of the main factors in ensuring the stability of agricultural production and food security throughout the world. The economic, environmental and social situation in the country largely depends on the efficiency of irrigated land use. Irrigation efficiency analysis includes many aspects, such as soil quality, crop selection and irrigation technology. 

Conclusions. The application of drip irrigation or sprinkler irrigation systems can significantly reduce water costs and increase crop yields. In addition, it is necessary to take into account economic indicators: the cost of installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, as well as income from the sale of products.
