Annotation

Purpose: to analyze the current state of regulatory provisions in the field of drainage design on irrigated lands and to determine the main tasks for their updating. 

Materials and methods. The subject of the research is the existing regulatory framework concerning the design of drainage systems on irrigated lands. The study included a search and analysis of regulatory, technical and legal documentation, and a study of modern achievements in the field of drainage during irrigation. Analytical, comparative and logical methods were used in the analysis and formulation of the main tasks for updating. 

Results. Scientific analysis has shown that the existing regulatory documents concerning drainage design standards have lost their relevance and do not meet modern requirements. This indicates the need for revision with adjustments in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Federation legislation and fundamental documents on standardization and comparison of reference provisions that must be taken into account when developing a modern standardization document. For this purpose, differentiation of provisions concerning individual regulatory requirements has been established in the form of a group of standards with a common standardization object (“drainage on irrigated lands”) in terms of design standards. On this basis, the structure of the required draft standardization document has been determined. Based on the expected content of the standardization document, the main tasks for updating have been determined. 

Conclusions. Based on the conducted analysis of the provisions of the normative and technical documentation, the draft standardization document in the field of drainage design standards on irrigated lands should contain regulatory provisions concerning the design standards for horizontal, vertical and combined drainage. The analysis of the provisions of existing regulatory documents made it possible to determine the range of main tasks for the main sections, the solution of which will facilitate the development of the draft standardization document.
